There is a new band from Union County wanting to play some shows here in Knoxville. They call themselves Inside and Out. They started with the name Inside an Illusions, but Jesse, (guitarist, key board and vocalist) said they wanted to change the name after it brought a bit of bad luck. And Matt, (guitarist/vocalist) said, "I like the idea of being inside". The band members of been playing awhile, but sadly the garage bands they were in never left the garage.
All the band members are inspired by punk rock of the 90s to new metal core, and with living close together around the same main road, they got together, shared their ideas, began practicing as much as they can and taking turns living on my-space to promote their band, thus, bringing the birth of the band Inside and Out.
The band as a whole have been supporters of the local scene seeing such bands as, Whitechapel, Straight Line Stitch, and As I Lay Dying just to name a few. "There are really too many bands to mention, we have seen so many', Matt told me. I asked Matt, if the band as a whole were trying to bring a message through their music, and he told me that "yes', Matt said, 'live your life as if it were your last", and Wayde wants to see his fans throw down at a show, have a good time, and listen to some great music. They support each other and support and respect the other bands, they bring a little bit of everything, and this is what completes Inside and Out.
This band are all best friends who want to play for fun and just see where the music takes them. They would like to thank the 150 people that listen to their demo, though they feel their demos could be a better quality. And they wanted to thank the members of the KSC who to date have supported them like no one else has. And we say to them, "we believe in you, we believe in your music, and we want you to get out there, and play show after show, and don't you ever give up"!
They believe in unity and love for each other. They hold a true bond of friendship and compassion to play their music. And honestly this band should be heard. "I wanna say I don't like people that think they're bad ass and people can be cool if they look from the outside in instead of the inside out" Matt. I think that sums it all up.
Any band that joins together, and takes the time to sit down and discuss their influences, start to jam, adding lyrics to their music needs to be respected. I find this band true, and sincere about their music, and I am hoping you will check them out on their my-space.
