 Bring the Noise Knoxville........

 The Geneva Descent
                             From Knoxville Tennessee.

They just got finished at the studio  recording their cd the week before last with Brandon Cagle at Atomic Studio, they are waiting on it to be mastered so they can release it.

Brant, the vocalist, is moving to Arizona for a few months.  They may have a vocalist fill-in lined up  while Brant is gone between mid September and December.

Brant is also a member of the Knox Scene Coalition, and though he will be leaving us soon, his spot will remain open for him until  he returns.  He is an asset to the KSC, and we are so honored to have him.

The  Geneva Descent are hoping they will have a 3 song demo released within the next few weeks.  They just need to get booked to release it.  Anyone wanting to book this amazing band, please do so by finding them at this link,

    Facelock's Final Curtain Call

           October 31, 2009

Image

Syn, vocalist of Facelock, is orginally from Washington, DC, brought his love of metal when he moved to Maryville, Tennessee.  Facelock began in 2005 and has been melting faces ever since.

They played several shows over the years, in many area's.  They were also featured in Knox New, and the Maryville Daily Times.  You could see Syn, on Channel 10 television news cast back when Facelock, who was the first band to volunteer, played the benefit show for the Blount County Family whom sadly lost 4 of their 5 children in a house fire, hosted by the Knox Scene Coalition at the Kennedy Band Center.

They played one of their best performances in the KSC battle of the bands. But shortly after, Syn suffered from a stroke, not knowing if he could ever perform again.  Syn went through alot of therapy, and having to learn everything we take for granted on a daily basis again, Facelock made a comeback December 2, 2007 at the Electric Ballroom, when they honored Doreen, owner of the KSC, by playing her birthday show.  When Facelock took the stage, it was like nothing had changed.  To have seen Syn, just a few months before, you never would have thought he could possibly perform again.  But he did, and the performance was flawless.  Syn is a true fighter, and has always been highly respected and admired by the Knox Scene Coalition.

Syn, hosted Metal Fest, at the Electric Ballroom, which was a huge success.  He brought in several area local metal bands, and they rocked the place all day long through the night.

Facelock, has been a amazing band, a mentor and a friend.  When there is a time of need, Facelock is the first to volunteer.  When metal is need, Facelock is there.  When you want someone to understand how you feel, Facelock is there!  But soon, Facelock will be gone.  This saddens the KSC, we have booked them over the 5 years they have been a band.

Syn, would also cover the fans up front with some blood, and would hold a book, that would some how burst in flames.  After shows, when you see fans coming out covered in blood, you knew Facelock ......was there!!

Sadly, Facelock will not be there any longer, for they are playing their last show on October 31, 2009, at Alnwick Gym, 2146 Big Springs Road, Maryville, tenn.  Show starts at 6 p.m., all ages just 7 bucks.  THIS WILL BE YOUR LAST TIME TO SEE THIS AMAZING BAND.

Facelock, on the behalf of the Knox Scene Coalition, you will be sorely missed.  You're amazing light show, the burning book, the grind you into hell  vocals, the never forgotten lyrics, the amazing music, the incredible stage performance, your loyalty, your dedication, your loving and caring hearts, your ability to never give up when everything seemed to be against you.......FACELOCK,  YOU WILL BE MISSED!!
